I don’t draw significant differences between digital and other types of marketing. They’re all matters of targeting the right audiences with the right messages in ways that lead to the return being greater than the investment.
Digital is included in most large marketing campaigns, so when you begin to search just look up marketing professionals and they’ve likely led campaigns with a large budget of their project going toward digital.
I would look into some journals as well. Some require membership, but others just need a sign-in. They’ll usually have interviews and some surveys or articles that would be good citations.
