Can someone please help. I have been trying to monogram rayon velvet using a hot stamping machine with gold foil, but am having trouble with the foil adhering. Does anyone know of a foil or process that will work on rayon velvet?
You’re using a foil stamper used on paper for Rayon Velvet fabric?
Your problem stems from needing a smooth flat surface, not a velvet surface.
You could try varnishing first to seal the nap.
You’re expecting this foil to last any significant amount of time?
I might explore some of the iron-on options like this random product I found on the intertoobs. (You’d need a vinyl plotter to use it, or have a sign shop cut it for you.)
