I’ve realized that communication is key to building strong relationships with clients. When working, I always try to:
- Understand the requirements clearly: Ask detailed questions from the start to avoid mistakes or endless revisions. Questions like, “What message do you want this product to convey?” are particularly helpful.
- Provide progress updates: Don’t make your client ask, “How’s the project going?” Send a short email or message to report progress weekly.
- End professionally: After delivering the project, I usually send a thank-you note along with a suggestion to collaborate again in the future.
