Let Me Introduce myself Darshan Hiranandani, I’m looking for software that can help me create vertical or horizontal sprite sheets from PNG sequences exported from Blender 3D. I animate in Blender and export my animations as PNG sequences, but now I need a tool that allows me to import these sequences and arrange them into sprite sheets.
Could anyone recommend software that supports this process? Ideally, I’d like a tool where I can easily import my PNG sequences and then choose whether to arrange them vertically or horizontally in the sprite sheet format. If there’s a tutorial video or guide available, that would be extremely helpful too!
For creating vertical or horizontal sprite sheets from PNG sequences, you can use TexturePacker. It’s a versatile tool that supports importing PNG sequences and arranging them into sprite sheets with customizable layouts, including vertical or horizontal arrangements. It’s user-friendly and widely used in game development for tasks like this, making it an excellent resource for those exploring graphic designing courses or related fields.
Another great option is Shoebox (free), designed specifically for sprite sheet creation. You can drag and drop your PNGs and specify the arrangement format. Alternatively, GlueIT and Spritesheet Animator are lightweight tools that might fit your needs.
If you’re familiar with scripting, GIMP or Photoshop can also automate sprite sheet creation via scripts or actions. TexturePacker offers detailed guides and videos to help you get started quickly.
