Hey, I want to know is there is anyway we can make a separate layer of each selection? Like I have made a multiple selection, and I want each of the selection to have separate layer. Can we do that in Photoshop?
Is there is any way to create each selection a separate layer in Photoshop? Also, is there is anyway to save those selections in separate JPEG?
Well, I want to create different selection from the single image. Like single image have different information which don’t have connectivity with each other. So, I want to separate each information from single image, so each information have their own separate image.
open the jpg image in Photoshop.
select all.
choose copy.
click the “+” in the layers window.
choose paste.
Step and repeat for as many layers as you wish.
Now each layer is the same image, which you can edit as you wish.
Well, that I was not looking for. Let me rephrase my explanation. I have one image which have information of each different person. Now I need to separate each person information and save in separate layer then export in PNG. Now, I can do that by manually make the selection of each person, then press + J so that selected information paste on layer. I repeat this steps until each person have their own layer, then I save each individual layer as PNG.
Now, what I am looking for automated process, which can reduce my time.
It’s a little unclear exactly what you’re looking for or what your source files look like, but you may be better off using Illustrator’s data merge over trying to do this in Photoshop.
It sounds like PhotoShop is not the best tool. As mentioned by @Steve_O either using Illustrator or InDesign’s data merge would probably suit your needs better. Can you share a screenshot of what you are trying to do?
IMO, the barcode example you showed is much better doing data merge in Illustrator or InDesign. Then you can just have a source spreadsheet file with columns listed for the product number and the dollar amount and the barcodes potentially using one of teh youtube methods here:
