How to Create This Gradient Geometric Pattern in I

Hi everyone,

This is my first thread here, I came across this beautiful geometric design (see attached image) and I’m curious how to recreate something similar in Adobe Illustrator or Photoshop. It looks like it involves gradients and overlapping shapes, possibly triangles or polygons with blending.

Could anyone share the best approach, techniques, or tools to achieve this effect? Would you recommend using Illustrator or Photoshop for gradient control?

Any tips, tutorials, or workflow suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much for your help!

The gradients are probably an illusion.
I wouldn’t use Photoshop, but Illustrators Blend Tool.

Those are gradient blocks and bars with a multiply transparency effect on them. Some of the bars have fades, some have feathers.
Maybe a step blend would work.
Maybe @CraigB has an Appearance function he could offer?

@PrintDriver
Nothing comes to mind using the Appearance function. At first glance it does look more like using the blend tool. If so, it comes down to measuring things out a little bit. It looks like the center purple diamond is blended with a larger diamond that extends past the edge.

Then some blended white diamonds possibly and then some blended horizontal bands.

Tried it there. drew a triangle.

Then disecting lines at the angle of the lines of the triangle - made the boxes.

then apply the gradients, you can put per each stop I didn’t really try that hard to be honest.

Maybe could be done with a blend tool, then just remove the blocks you don’t want or clip mask them into the triangle.

But then it’s a step and repeat and blend modes, or maybe overprinting opacities etc.

Spent about 5 minutes - spent longer typing this.
