How to get rid of white edges

I’ve searched for the answer here and online, but to no avail.

MSPaint only allows 90 degree increment rotations, so I want to tessellate using Paint.net instead. But when I clone an image, it comes out with a white “shadow” around the whole edge (see attached small image). In MSPaint, all I have to do is hit the “transparent” button to get rid of the “shadow,” but in Paint .net, I don’t know how.

I’m adding an example of my tessellations.

My best advice would be to get your hands on a copy of Illustrator or Photoshop.

Tessl8r, there aren’t likely many members of this forum using MSPaint or Paint, net for anything. You might have better luck asking your question on the Paint.net forum.

OK, thanx.

I have never used that program so I can’t help at all. The only thing I did was look for your question over at the forum and it’s been asked quite a bit. Several have suggested plugins for it. Just go over and type in your quandary and you can see all the replies from topics started on the very same issue. See if anything there helps you out.

Good luck
