How to prevent Adobe Audition from providing inaccurate represntations of the actual end product?

This questions pertains more to the field of Multimedia or Digital Design. Recently I’ve been trying to bass boost a few music samples. After applying all the effects in Audition everything sounds fine over there. However, after exporting it or using dynamic link to import it into Adobe Premiere the audio sounds relatively different. For instance, after I’ve applied the effects no distortion is audible in Adobe Audition but after playing it on Adobe Premiere Pro plenty of distortions can be heard.

I sort of use the latest version of Adobe CC soft-wares, in case you were wondering about that.
My audio output is a stereo headset with a sample rate of 44.1 kHz.

THANKS in advance!

Oops! The sample rate is actually 48 kHz.
