How's your kerning?

That is so true, Pluto. And that is what I was saying—the fact that a number of our forum test takers showed a different preference for the “YVES” kerning (I agree with our forum takers, by the way) only proves your point. So many things in design are subjective (beauty is in the eye of the beholder, etc.) That is why we are hired as professionals to begin with. Clients pay us to understand kerning and all the other aspects of design, and they just happen to like our “subjectivity” ergo, we get their business.

That said, we can usually all agree when the kerning is way off, it’s however when it’s thereabouts it gets a bit debatable :wink:
