How's your weather?

We are very sunny today and fairly warm considering. The snow from yesterday is melting fast

Here in New England it’s “if you don’t like the weather, wait a minute and it’ll change.”

There are 35 inches of white stuff on the ground at Alta and 37 inches at Brighton (local ski resorts that have already opened). Too bad I don’t ski.

Today’s photo from Alta.

I know you’re not a fan of snow, but it is nice to look at in the mountains.

What is this?

Once in a while there are some weird things in this feed.

My weather is Bali

I meant to post this earlier … but I was distracted of course

It was It’s 78° inside most of the day. I had to turn the fan on! :flushed: It was -3 a few days ago!

Not particularly hot today 89f / 32c, but uncomfortable somehow.

I’ve worked out that the coolest place to sit is in front of the heat pump - but that means putting the central heating on …

It got up to 104°F (42°C) yesterday at our house. Today is supposed to be a few degrees cooler, but it’s still morning.

We are heading into some VERY warm weather over the next few days. The AC is already to go  Yesterday it got up to 87f/32c and it was 99% humidity. That lovely type of weather where I can’t breathe! :flushed: It’s supposed to climb to the high 90’s the next few days.

Ugh, I just had a look at our forecast (right next door to RKK)
Gonna be nasty out in the warehouse for sure. 100° temp with sun and a tin roof.
And I have about 100 pieces to vinyl-wrap by hand next week. I should be able to just pour it on. Won’t be needing a heat gun for sure!

I’ve never been to SLC, but it seems like you guys have long, hard winters, and hot summers. Do you get much of a spring or fall season?

Spring is long (March through May), but it jumps back and forth between snow and warmer weather.

Fall probably has the best weather in SLC, which lasts from September through the first half of November.

Summer occurs rather suddenly, with hot weather starting around the second week of June. Humidity is always very low here, which makes it semi-tolerable.

Winter is miserable, except for those people who enjoy winter sports.

Much depends on altitude. Our house is at about 5400 feet and sits on the mountain slopes, so our weather is different from that in the valley. Right now, it’s in the mid-90s, but I can see patches of snow in the mountains ten miles away that haven’t melted yet.

Last week, I was at our other house in central Utah. I had a good time playing in the remaining snowbanks at just under 11,000 feet. As the photo shows, some of the roads are still impassable.

I’d probably pass out at 11,000ft :face_with_spiral_eyes:
The highest mountain here in the northeast is 6500. Not a lot gets above 1000 around here.

Would that be Mount Washington? A few years ago, we were in New Hampshire for a couple of days and decided to drive to the top. The road was blocked about (I’m guessing) three-quarters of the way to the top due to strong winds. We got out of the rental car, and I could hardly stand up. Anyway, they gave us a bumper sticker for trying. I didn’t want to stick it on the rental, so it eventually ended up on an old cabinet in our garage.
