Every thing here is a weird murky green right now. Everything looks the same color; the buildings the trees…There’s no contrast. It’s making my eyes buggy.

Horrified looking at those pictures - that’s not just a weird colour, that’s smoke particles in the air and at those concentrations it constitutes a serious hazard to health. Have the local authorities issued any warnings about masking, staying indoors etc?

They’ve issued orange warnings here for people with heart and lung issues. A few places have red warnings, ie don’t go outside, N95 highly suggested. I was in an orange zone most of yesterday and briefly close to a red zone (that’s where it was weirdly green.) Saw a number of people wearing masks. They said today was supposed to be bad too, but so far so good.

We got a smoke warning all the way on the east coast of the usa.

No rain in England for two months? That’s crazy. England is known for its overcast, rainy weather. We’ve only had one rainy day all summer in Utah, but that’s not out of the ordinary. For your location, though, it must be a bit of a disaster. Are all the plants dying and turning brown?

There is no grass anymore, it’s brown and dead. Crops are failing, reservoirs below 20%, wildfires in most areas although most are under control. Restrictions on domestic water use are widespread so no car washing, garden hosepipe bans etc.
