Hello, I am a beginner graphic designer.
I’m struggling to promote myself and get clients .
When I try to promote myself on social media, my posts get deleted. Also, creating pages requires paying money just to reach people. I don’t have the means to pay for ads or promote myself.
I just working on canva app
I need work so I can save for a laptop, learn more, and use Photoshop.
I can create nice graphics and handle simple tasks. Or assist any graphic designer
I’m not sure how to sell my gigs — I even tried ** contest site removed ** but it didn’t work.
You aren’t going to like hearing this, but if you need to work, find another job you can do. Looking for work in the Graphic Design world when you have been fully trained is hard at best. Finding work when you are a novice is near impossible. You do not have the skills to start offering your services. That is why you aren’t able to find work.
So step back, take a breath and find a job that will feed you and pay your bills. Look for some schooling and get the education you will need if Graphic Design is really something you want to pursue. If so, just know it’s not only about making logos.
Everything I was going to say, RedKittieKat has just said. I whole-heartedly second what she says. I am afraid, you simply don’t have enough knowledge at this point.
It all comes down to education. Otherwise, you’ll end up bottom-feeding for low-paid scraps with the wannabes. I am afraid your work just serves to cement this view.
Don’t get me wrong, we all start somewhere and some of my early work was atrocious. There is, how over, a popular opinion that graphic design is easy to get into, it isn’t. To do what you are doing is, but that simply won’t cut it as a pro designer. Also, professional designers don’t tend to use Canva,. It is amateur software.
That said, learning software alone, is nowhere near enough. That’s why a formal education is required if you want to play in the big leagues.
You have a long way to go, but don’t let that put you off. Nothing worth having ever comes easily,
