Hey guys,

I have a question. If I am working on an ai file where the text has already been outlined; is there a way to either reverse the outline or determine what font was used?

There is no way to reverse outlined type back to a font once the file has been closed after outlining.
You can try feeding an image of the words into Whatthefont.com
It sometimes works surprisingly well.

Can you go back to the original designer and simply ask?

The site PrintDriver recommended is a good source.

You can also post it here. There are some sharp eyes on this forum when it comes to identifying fonts.
