Has anyone used online software to produce a serious digital report please?
I was wondering, and have seen a few. Ofcourse they commoditise it and say you don’t need a designer, and are all bells and whistles. But most of the people I work with wouldn’t know how to make the best of communicating what they need to write. They just want to hand it over to a professional to do it for them.
Things I wonder about are
Archives - the cost of keeping old reports online and how they are affected by updates.
Code bloat - the drag and drop formula creates heavy bloated code which, I thought, Google tries to avoid.
I just thought I’d ask to see if other designers are still outputting reports to PDF or are finding more modern methods and have used any of these online software companies. If not, how are you delivering modern reports please?
