In the past I spent a lot of times playing games, I think the last serious one I got into was Skyrim, which I spent hundreds of hours playing. Before that, I was always a fan of the final fantasy series and turn-based strategy games like fire emblem even going back to NES games like Zelda/Link.
I recently got over the mindset of thinking that every ounce of free time I had, I had to be doing something productive. My girlfriend has a 9 year old and we beat a few games like Cuphead and It takes two, which were pretty fun - so I got Elden Ring and itās pretty tough
Same here! I used to play a lot PC games, RE4 was my favorite. But board games are my real passion. We donāt have a lot time lately, but we try to gather at least once a month and have a games night.
I actually feel like I played more games when I was married compared to recently, as I used to use the Switch or a laptop to play games while the other half had something on TV I wasnāt that into.
Now I have a whole desk setup and a backlog of games to go through, but Iām watching nerdy TV shows half the time instead
When I do play, Iāve recently sold all my handhelds & consoles, so Iām 100% PC these days. Just keeps things simpler. I often hop between Skryim, Oblivion, Sonic 3 & Knuckles, or an Assassinās Creed. Keep trying to get into Cyberpunk 2077 and The Witcher III but Iām just not sure on them yet. Though dashing with a katana like a ninja in Cyberpunk is fun.
Tempted to get a Steam Deck but really canāt justify it, would be pure indulgence!
