Is this iMac model good for Graphic Design?

Hello guys

so I was wondering if this iMac model is good for graphic design and 3D modeling?

It’s Apple iMac 21.5" Retina 4K

  • Intel Core i5 (Quad-Core 3.1 GHz / 3.6 GHz Turbo)
  • 8 Go SDRAM LPDDR3, 1867 MHz
  • 1 To
  • Intel Iris Pro 6200
  • 21.5" Retina 4K (4096 x 2304)
  • SDXC

Thanks

Personally, I’d get the larger screen – and one or two others as well.

If you ask me, any Mac computer made in the last 5 years far exceeds what’s necessary for graphic design. To build on sprout’s comment, you can never have too much screen space.

3D modeling is a different story. The actual 3D modeling process doesn’t take much processing power. But you can never have too much processing power when it comes to 3D rendering, especially if the models are animated. That’s why movie studios use render farms.

This one seems like it could be a hair too old.

I would go for a 27" inch screen. The 2019 iMac has just been announced, there will be many second hand iMacs going on sale soon. Mine included…

Alright thanks a lot guys <3
