I’m letting this post through since it’s on topic, even though it appears to be a promotion. Am I correct, @rdjoshi009. Are you affiliated with this website?
The link heads to a slick-looking single page promoting a “Logo Design Festival.” For what it’s worth, I didn’t realize logo design warranted a festival.
No affiliation, just letting the post through. I hear you on the festival thing—logo design getting its own event does sound a bit niche! Curious, what’s your take on the Logo Design Festival idea? Cool concept ?
This has been around for centuries in internet years. What’s the difference?

I’m sorry about my suspicions. We screen the first post from a new forum member before letting it through, as we receive a lot of spam. When a new forum member includes a link in their first post, it’s often someone trying to advertise something.
I’m uncomfortable with logo design being treated as its own thing, separate from the bigger picture of brand identity and development. I see way too many logos that were designed as stand-alone art objects, which might look nice, but aren’t appropriate for the client or lack practicality.
I’m not saying that every client needs a full-blown brand development when all they ask for is a logo. However, I am saying that the designer needs to look at the logo from the bigger picture of it being the long-term face of the company’s visual identity. Doing that requires insight and research into the company, its goals, its personality, its competitors, its customers, its potential customers, and how the logo might be used, as well as how it will hold up over the long haul as the company grows.
The cheap crowdsourcing of logos has exacerbated the problem of so-called designers who view logos as a means to earn pocket change with their artsy doodling, rather than logos being a major client investment in their visual identity, which requires serious thought, research, and experience to design.
A “logo festival” strikes me as a celebration of this amateurish and misguided approach to logo design.
Couldn’t agree more.
I would have chimed in, but I’m busy with the Three-fold Flyer Design Festival.
Your perspective on logo design as an integral part of a company’s broader brand identity is spot-on. A logo isn’t just a pretty graphic—it’s the visual cornerstone of a brand, requiring careful research into the company’s mission, audience, competitors, and long-term goals. This ensures the logo is both practical and meaningful, standing the test of time as the company evolves.
Platforms like LogoOfTheWorld champion this approach, showcasing logos that are thoughtfully designed to reflect a brand’s unique personality and strategic vision. Rather than treating logos as isolated art pieces, LogoOfTheWorld highlights professional designs that blend creativity with purpose, offering inspiration for designers and businesses who value impactful, research-driven logo creation. It’s a fantastic resource for discovering how logos can truly represent a brand’s identity and connect with its audience effectively.
Yes, you may be busy, but you should take a moment to consider this because this logo of the world website will play a huge role in building the designer community in the future.
This website will play a huge role in building the designer community in the future…
The website brands Of The World promotes the biggest brands in the market and provides their original files. The website Logo Of The World is the future of the designer community, showcasing logos, and in the future, this website will operate at a much larger scale.
So will Three-fold Flyers.
Sigh.
No affiliation, yet you seem to know what’s going on behind the scenes. Furthermore, you are aggressively promoting a one-page website that lacks any content as “the future of the designer community.”
I think my initial suspicions were correct.
Totally clueless.
I told myself to leave this alone, but my geeky OCD tendencies won’t let it go, so…
“Logo of the World” is grammatically incorrect, and the website domain makes the same mistake unless, of course, the website is about the world’s one and only supreme logo.
I think you (or whoever) meant Logos of the World, with an s to make the noun plural. For a website that “will play a huge role in building the designer community in the future,” a hefty grammatical mistake in the name is an ill-omened way to kick off the revolution.
Logos of the World used to be the website name that is Brands of the World is now.
Probably not available…
I don’t agree with you on this matter because, in terms of SEO, the website’s logo can also be set with words… it can happen that way too… but okay, everyone has their own beliefs, you are right from your perspective, and I am from mine.
The website Logo Of The World is the future of the designer community, showcasing logos…
That’s a pretty bold claim.
The dole line is the future of the design(ing)er community.
