Looking to recreate graphics for my website

Hi everyone,

I currently have an active party rental website “HaflaRental”, but the graphics (icons, banners) need a major face-lift.

As a non-designer, what’s the best way to handle this?

  • Hire a designer: Where is the best place to find freelancers who specialize in custom web asset revamps?

  • Stock/Templates: Should I look into premium stock bundles instead?

Thanks for any advice!

Everyone here will tell you to steer away from templates!

They are useful and save time, but are limiting unless you have the skills to modify them so much that you may as well have made them yourself.

There are many ways to hire a designer or freelancer. Either post here in the section for hiring people or contact the Author of a template you like and inquire if they accept commissions would be nice starting points.

Good luck!

Thanks! Since I already have a live website, I’m mainly looking to redesign the existing icons and banners first. So what sound me right is hiring a designer for custom assets at the moment, as it might be the better long-term investment.

If your current branding is working, I’d recommend hiring a designer to recreate the assets instead of replacing everything with stock graphics. Custom icons and banners will give your site a more consistent and professional look.

Before hiring anyone, make a list of every asset you need and gather a few websites whose style you like. That makes it much easier for a designer to understand your expectations and keeps revisions to a minimum.

Stock assets can work well for placeholders or small decorative elements, but for your main banners, icons, and branding, custom designs usually create a stronger and more memorable impression. Good luck with the redesign!
