Lost typeface recovered from the river Thames

Years ago, I read about the lost Doves typeface and how the owner/createor had thrown everything off a bridge and into the Thames.

I didn’t know that many of the lead slugs (or sorts) had been recovered and that a graphic designer had recreated a digital version of the typeface based on printed samples and the recovered remnants. It’s a beautiful typeface, despite (or partially because of) the wacky off-center lowercase i.
