Many of the people on this forum have a lot of experience designing packaging for various products, so I thought there may be someone who recognises this symbol.

Does anyone know what this symbol is and what it represents ?

Mystery Symbol

It appears on many differnt products, mainly toothpaste, mouthwash and ingredients for foodstuffs.

Because of the two arrows I thought it might be something to do with recycling but so far I have not found it in any of the resources I have searched for symbols which appear on packaging.

Sometimes it appears with the ® symbol at the top right hand corner suggesting it might be a registered trade mark.

I’ve never seen it before, but a Google image search turned up many references to recycling. Apparently, it’s a registered European “Green Dot” recycling symbol for packages indicating the package can be recycled.

Thanks very much, “Green Dot” got it, all I needed was to associate a name with the symbol and now I can search for it.
