I’m newbie so I am using the opportunity to say hi to all members of the forum. My name is Veronika, sorry for my lousy English, I hope it will not hurt your eyes too much!
On topic.
I have a day job as a graphic designer and in the same time I am working for clients over the net for years.
Between the rest, I have portfolio on the Dribbble site. Working for clients over the net isn’t my main income, so from time to time I am accepting the proposals I get through the Dribbble site.
If I am not in the mood or if I am lazy, I will decline it and those cases are not rare in the last time.
Now Dribbble presented some new features; designer can be paid through Dribbble, visibility on the page depends on your activity with the clients and soon clients will be able to evaluate your work.
I kind am not satisfied with those new features, because Dribbble now reminds me on Upwork or ** contest site removed ** -they press you to be active and to respond on every proposal (if you want to be visible).
This makes sense from their point of view, good thing is that Dribbble members will not pay the fees.
I preferred the old way, to manage tasks on my own, payments through Pay Pal. New proposals are coming and I’m not sure if I want to dribbble on their rules, if I want to join my account with their payment service.
Do you think new Dribbble features are good thing? I would like to hear your thoughts on the subject, thank you!
