New logo

Logotype is used when the type appears with a symbol. Wordmark is used when it’s a standalone mark (in my shop)

In my old job at a newspaper, there were similar sorts of differences in daily jargon from one place to another. When a new hire would come from, say, an east coast newspaper, they’d practically have to learn a new language to understand what everyone else was talking about. I’m certain the reverse was true as well.

You know what they say… east coast leads.
Years ago, I spent a bit of time in Detroit - the pressmen there referred to proofs as “silver prints”. I felt like I had travelled backwards in time to a place far away and wondered if I needed to be wary of toxins in the “silver-print”:joy::grin:

Actually my shop is not based on the east coast. It was founded 80 or so years ago on the west coast and belongs to big muckity-mucks in London now.
