New to Graphic and Design! (Need Help)

Hey, guys! I’m a student and i’m looking for help on the following question:
What areas are evaluated in a pre-printing set-up checks?

Everything that could possibly go wrong.
And probably a few things your professor neglected to tell you.
Do things like bleeds, safeties, color match , transparency, overprint preview, image resolution, reading the printer specs for hand-off format (among other things) sound familiar?

Linked images, collecting fonts, proper file size plus bleed, keeping important elements within a safety area, considering how four-color process or Pantone colors need to be adjusted on different paper stock (coated, uncoated colored paper), properly setting up any short panels if there are folds, proper gutter if there are a lot of pages, etc.
