just want to share this with you… i am currently divin into Penpot - since it offers plenty of options and tools to collaborative design work.

For graphic designers, Figma and Penpot are particularly interesting when it comes to collaborative work, prototyping, and exchanging ideas with clients or teams.

Figma particularly scores with its very broad community and the countless design resources this community provides (templates, UI kits, plugins). Especially for designers who integrate into existing workflows or work closely with developers, Figma is something of an industry standard.
Penpot is exciting for designers interested in open source projects and software: in other words, for anyone who values openness, adaptability, and data control. For groups who want to manage their designs independently of commercial providers, even over longer periods of time—in other words, for teams who want to manage their designs independently of commercial providers. So, for anyone who follows these criteria, Penpot is a viable starting point. Penpot can therefore be considered for use in development work.
For all of those, Penpot is indeed a sustainable solution. Self-hosting can also be an advantage in agencies or educational contexts.
