When preparing the Illustrator files in order to work on it in After Effects, we need to put each layer separately
But when you click on “release to layer (sequence)”, the layer name changes to Layer 1, Layer2, Layer3, Layer3…
Is there a way not to change the original name ?.
To my knowledge when you release a layer (sequence) it’s basically “exploding” the file, breaking it into its separate pieces/groups. This is an automated process and Illustrator puts in their standard layer names. You can go back and rename them to their original names by double or right clicking, but I do not think there’s a way to retain layer names.
