I am working on my first job for a new client. Part of the job is modifying their existing packaging. When opening up the AI files they provided, I get the attached warning. I have not seen this before. Is it anything to be concerned with? The job actually prints in spot colors, so I’m guessing this is a non-issue. However, I’d love to knock this job out of the park since I believe it could lead to more work. Thanks.
It refers to linked content, usually meaning images.
The illustrator document you received is set to ignore profiles. You can resave it with your current Color Settings and make it go away.
But
Are you printing this or are they?
Their vendor may not want profiles.
I believe Ignore is the default setting too.
