Problem on changing the halftone color

Hello,

I’m trying to give an illustrator image to halftone pattern from the tutorials on the web.

But after making the halftone effect, I can’t change my halftone color.
Halftones turn gray when I change the color.
Where do you think the problem is?

Post the tutorial you used.
Any number of things could be wrong.
