Protecting a Drawing Table

Hello everyone,

Is it a good idea to protect and pad a drawing table with a few large sheets of newsprint? Or, is it better to get an Alvin Vyco drawing board cover?

Thanks,

Chris

the drawing table here is uncovered and cleaned occasionally.
newsprint might leave ink stains or a residue on the face and damage your illustrations.

This sounds like an ad for drawing board covers. LOL.

My drawing board is melamine. It doesn’t have a cover and is cleanable with an assortment of nasty chemicals if needed. Or a razor blade if some glue happens to get on there (yeah yeah I shouldn’t be using the drawing table as an assembly surface but…Flat Space!)

Vyco or something similar. Why would you consider newsprint? Most anything would be better than that.
