Adam Schlesinger, Fountains of Wayne co-founder, dead at 52 from Covid-19. RIP Adam
I know the song, but I could not have told you who sung it.
Dang, that’s awfully young.
It’s a shame when CV takes anyone, but it’s a little more scary when it takes young people that otherwise appear healthy. And I’m not referring just to Adam Schlesinger. There are other accounts of young, healthy people being taken by this.
Singer/songwriter Bill Withers (Ain’t No Sunshine and Lean On Me) dies from heart complications.
Jack Sprat sang about fat while Bill Withers wanted to lean on me.
Bill Withers was a great soulful singer who had one of those unique voices that are easy to identify. He had a very calming voice and I got a real “nice guy” vibe from him. This morning I sang “Lovely Day” along with my ipod on the way to work but could not hold that “daaaaaaaaaaay” note.
David Scramm passed at the age of 73. He played Roy Biggins on the sitcom Wings. I always enjoyed that show.
Oh, man, a big loss in the music world. John Prine dead at 73 from complications of coronavirus. Such a shame.

he never drew people 6 feet away from each other
Brian Dennehy has passed at 81. He is one of those actors that has been around for decades … in everything and always seems to look the same while hardly aging. RIP Mr. Dennehy
I didn’t know his name, but I recognize his face from about a hundred different characters he’s played.
And I just made a Tommy Boy reference a few days ago in a different thread.
