I just found out Eric Carmen died on the 11th. He was 74. I loved The Raspberries and then he went on to great solo success. RIP Eric

I always got Eric Carmen of the Raspberries mixed up with John Waite of the Babys. Similar times and similar big-hair bands, I guess.

They had other hits, but this was the biggie. For the musos out there, it’s a song with a very strange structure. Even the guitar solo is played on an acoustic.

They aren’t celebrities, and we don’t know their names, but the people that died in the Baltimore bridge accident. This is a crazy story. It will be interesting to hear what caused the ship to hit the bridge.

British physicist Peter Higgs won the Nobel Prize in 2013 for his 1964 proposal that a fundamental particle (later known as the Higgs boson and its associated Higgs field) interacted with certain other fundamental particles in ways that made them resistant to change in speed or position when encountering a force. This resistance is what we perceive as mass.
The existence of the Higgs boson was confirmed in 2012 through experiments using the Large Hadron Collider at CERN on the border of Switzerland and France.

Fall down the rabbit hole of the conspiracy theory that OJ’s kid killed Nicole and Ron. Everything from the slow car chase to the smallish glove starts to make sense. OJ was probably there though.
