Some may … but, I’m old … I know exactly who they are I still though Rip Taylor had passed years ago
It took me a couple reads and a lot of bathroom time for me to understand it. I love that he was on Futurama.
Let’s not forget:
David Bowie and Chris Cornell

You might not know his name, but if you grew up in the 70s, you sure know his voice.
Aww I loved Schoolhouse Rock. Those were such great little segments that would air during The ABC Afterschool Special.

I think children are dumber these days simply because they don’t have Schoolhouse Rock on Saturday mornings…

I’m just a bill, yes I’m only a bill, and I’m sitting here on Capitol Hill… Seems like the average political knucklehead doesn’t even understand it.
When I was a kid I learned the whole Preamble to The US Constitution because of the song from Schoolhouse Rock. I still can’t speak it, but I can sing it all the way through. derpity dooo
Me too!
R.I.P. Neil Peart – 1952 - 2020
I was just about to post the same. There aren’t many people I’ve never met that have had such an influence on my life as this man. Middletown Dreams was my catapult when I was a teenager.
I hate how this is just going to be more and more common. I get it, it’s just how it works, we’re born, we do something with our lives and we die, but man … I love Rush.
R.I.P. Neil
i was working on this illustration and talking about this painting just tuesday this week

His love for art was written in his books and his creativity will be missed.
every sister is calling their older brother in Canada and through out the world,
In my early teens, I spent countless hours in my Mom’s basement learning to drum Rush songs just because I loved them. That led to landing a gig in my 20’s, playing in a touring Rush tribute. Back then in my young mind, there may have been flash-like moments when for all intents and purposes, I was Neil Peart. To say that the man and his body of work held a significant place in my life would be a gross understatement. While musically, I’ve moved along past most of that by now, my steering wheel still receives a thorough and fitting dose of Red Barchetta now and then. Rush did something no other rock band did, and Peart was at the heart of that very specific recipe. Talk about leaving a mark. Cripes.
i feel like a part of me has left. i always include a part Neil’s lyrics in my comics, art and comments on line. I wrote that he was very outgoing in his books, website and documentaries for such a reserved character. Seems to me he was more known than another other celebrity from the 1980s as a person and musician. i learned more from 2112 than any other book, lesson or babble that i encountered in High School and very happy he decided to create for us humans.
I was/am a complete Monty Python nut. I loved them all. This makes me so sad. I didn’t even know he was sick
