I’ve had this happen twice now while looking for work.
Someone will say they need design work done, they will do some online interview via chat using a known company name but not their official domain name email addresses but some yahoo or gmail address with the known company name.
They will do a very thorough TEXT CHAT interview and at the end say they need to send you hardware and for you to purchase the hardware through a vendor of theirs and they need your bank info, photo id and other information. DO NOT GIVE OUT ANY INFORMATION. They are scamming you.
If you have any other online “interview” where they need information from you and you feel the “offer” is too good to be true. There’s a chance it most likely is a SCAM!
