Sending design file (Simple)

Ok so I want to submit a design file to my professor, BUT he wants it as a PDF file and I’m unsure if to Embed the thumbnails or not?

I have all my layers within the design file too and I’m not sure if I should leave the image quality to Minimum or Maximum.

What program are you exporting the PDF from?

Need more info. If your professor wants the layers, send them an illustrator default. Was the project done in RGB or in CMYK for print? Does it have to fit in an email? It seems odd that your professor did not give you specs for the deliverable.

My recommendation

  • Embed thumbnails: Only embed thumbnails if your professor plans to open the file in a PDF reader that supports thumbnail previews.
  • Image quality: Set the image quality to Maximum.
