Our favorite pizza bakery closed after 109 years in business. It was the classic “School Pizza” that we all grew up with here (cuz I think they supplied all the schools at the time.) We’d occasionally by a sheet (16 squares) from the bakery.

Anyway, last weekend I think I finally cracked the code on the flavor. Generic Ragu pizza sauce, coated thin, and orange and white cheddar. Not mozerella.

That’s exactly what I use! I love my homemade pizza. I make it on a cookie sheet and add whatever we have around. Tonight will be onions, mushrooms, pepperoni and black olives  Love crumbled sausage on it as well, but we are out

We will make home made pizza from time to time. Last summer, we bought an Ooni pizza oven. That’s been a lot of fun to use.

William Penn’s Mother’s Sisters used to make pies and sell them in Colonial Pennsylvania. They were very good at it and sold the pies at a very low price. They became successful despite people wondering how they could possibly afford to sell such high quality pies at such a low rate.

Success was followed by fame. Their pies were so good and the deal was such a bargain the to this day people still rave about The Pie Rates Of Penn’s Aunts!

Is that the time?

I gotta go…

So this guy who works at an aquarium gets summoned by his boss, who is looking very worried, and she says to him “I’ve just walked by the dolphin tanks and they’re feeling very … amorous. They’re doing all sorts of things to each other. And the trouble is in less than an hour we’ve got three busloads of second graders coming. We can’t have them seeing those naughty dolphins behaving as if they’re in a porno flick! Now there’s only one thing that acts as an anti-aphrodisiac for dolphins, and that’s the meat of baby seagulls. So I want you to go down to the seashore, fill this bag with baby seagulls, and hurry on back. But be careful! A lion escaped from the Zoo this morning and although he was heavily sedated, he still just might be dangerous.”

So the guy takes a shortcut through the forest to the seashore, he fills the bag with baby seagulls and is walking back through the forest when he sees the lion! And it is lying across the path directly in front of him. It’s too late to run away, and the lion does appear to be sleeping so, summoning up all his courage, he steps over the lion.

Nothing happens.

So with much relief he continues back along the trail when all of a sudden a policeman jumps out of the forest, grabs the guy by the arm and says “YOU’RE UNDER ARREST!”

The guy can’t believe it. He says “Tell me, Officer, what’s the charge?”

And the policeman says “Transporting young gulls across a sedate lion for immoral porpoises!”
