I’m looking to build my education in typography. Can anyone recommend some good books on the subject?
Typography is a huge subject that can be approached in many different ways. For example, there are books on using typography, books on typographic philosophy, books on designing typefaces, books on the basics of pairing typefaces, books on the elements of design and their relationship to typographic form, books on the history of type, and the list goes on and on. All of them have something important to say.
What kind of book on typography do you have in mind? What are your goals?
Mainly typesetting and spacing.
