Usage of Google Fonts rather than general system fonts in Mail client

Hi everyone. Would you say its ok to use Google Fonts in an email signature in your mail client to ensure brand consistency or is its still more advisable to stick with your general System Fonts?

That would require all emails being sent as HTML email, which depending on the situation, could be problematic. If that’s a non-issue, there’s the problem of some email clients possibly choking on web fonts, in which case you’d need to specify a fallback system font.

If you’re going to the trouble of specifying a web font in an email, why would you limit it to a “small signature?” If you’re doing it to help ensure brand consistency, you might as well specify the web font as the first choice for the entire HTML email.

Thank you so much. I understand what you are saying and this answers the question for me!
