The site received a fresh new design, nice.
is this because of the redesign?

Hi, Nikko.
This isn’t really the same GDF forum. The corporate owners of the old forum neglected the forum and finally decided to shut it down. The admin from the old forum, iraszl, started up this new forum, but as I understand it, the previous owners would not turn over the database information.
As a result, iraszl and several of the moderators from the old forum started up this new one.
