What'cha Watchin'? (Possible Spoilers)

I’m completely immersed in Yellowstone and all the prequels. It’s a storyline following the Dutton family and all its trials and tribulations with finding and now keeping their huge ranch in Montana.

I started with 1883 and loveeeed it.

Then 1923 and loveeeed it.

They went on hiatus from Jan to Feb. So I thought I better see what Yellowstone was all about and loveeeed it.

I watched all 4 seasons in about a week and a half. I’m now in withdrawal because us cord cutters have no way to watch season 5 at the moment. Hopefully it will migrate to Peacock when the season is over as the other seasons did. Now, I’m hearing they are coming out with 6666 (pronounced The Four Sixes) A huge ranch in Texas where one of the Yellowstone hands went to train and work.

Anyhooo… 1923 is back every Sunday

I usually don’t get into murder mystery / whodunit movies, but I really enjoyed it.

This might not be What I’ma Watchin’, but I’m looking forward to seeing it.

John Cleese (of Monty Python fame) is teaming up with his daughter for a reboot of my favorite comedy program of all time — Fawlty Towers. If John Cleese can be even half as funny at 83 as he was when he was half that age, I’ll be happy.

He isn’t, and he can’t. This is going to be a disaster. 🫣

Mmm. I fear some things should just be left alone. It was brilliant, but of it’s time. What is a politically-correct version going to look like?

I don’t think it’s going to be politically correct. John Cleese is vehemently anti-woke.

He said he won’t do it on the BBC because they would never allow the program today.

I’m afraid you’re right, and I know nothing about his daughter. Maybe if he could play the part of a grumpy old man, it could work.

He may be, but half of the material used in the original, I’d be surprised if any tv channel would touch with a barge pole these days, Interesting to see what he does with it all the same.

What does that even mean?
This comes up first searching via duckduckgo:

conforming to ideology – to a liberal point, promoting tolerance – terms which seem like of opposites pairs to me.

Movies or TV series that completely submit to al kinds of political correctness are probably doomed to a quick silent death. Violence on the other hand somehow always seems to be considered “politically correct”.

Maybe I’m wrong, who knows?

Here something I am watching nowadays:

The Man Who Fell to Earth

It is not always that funny though :grinning:

Eh what?

We all need to relax and laugh sometimes, so I recommend watching ‘The Big Bang Theory’ and ‘How I Met Your Mother.’ Thank me later!

I apologize for any unclear wording. I am unfortunately not a native speaker of English. I am Austrian.

Good Omens was fantastic and I blew through Good Omens 2 when it dropped last week. I highly recommend it if you like something a little dark … a little light and a lot funny. Season two was just as delightful. I am soooo hoping there will be a Season 3.
Without any spoilers, it’s about Aziraphale the Angel and Crowley the Demon (Fallen Angel) It follows their adventures over the millenniums and how they have struck up a friendship while trying to keep a balance and their bosses at bay
