Interesting:
Through sheer repetition (Wordle Unlimited), I’ve experimented, using the same 2 words first every time regardless of letter hits/misses. When the result of those first 2 don’t produce clear direction, there is a standard 3rd word. The 3 words (and the order in which they’re entered) were chosen strictly because of the letters they use/eliminate, and don’t build on each other in any other way.
Statistically, this has led to a solution on the 4th word 59% of the time, 5th word: 28%, 6th word: 10%, unsolved: 2%. In today’s daily, the rarest of outcomes; 3 words: 1% (There have been 0 instances of first-word-solved, and one instance in which the standard 2nd word was the object word).

Of course this is all just another layer of own-world self amusement, seeing as I myself am a wide-ranging variable in the experiment, with levels of attention, concentration, and resolve that can be all over the place, not to mention how much weaker I am at it when the object word begins with a vowel. I only offer it here as one victim’s experience with this crippling disease. Don’t let it happen to you.
