Creating a logo for a student organization, need expert advice to improve my work. The group is called "Flight Simulation and I’m basing the design of the logo from a common aircraft instrument.
Your logo is a bit too literal. I would recommend to sketch a few options that show different interpretations of the aircraft instrument. You can start with an outlined version, maybe drawing it with different kinds of strokes. Are you working on Photoshop? Illustrator is best for designing logos. Also keep in mind where is the logo going to be put on, as you may need it to look good in white and black applications, as well as small and bigger sizes. Those lines on the left and right look like they are a bit too far from the rest of the logo.
