Below are two images. The first one is a logo and the second is a poster. As a new designer i know there is something I’m doing wrong, i just dont know what it is. Any feedback will be greatly appreciated.
The briefs i used for the designs were AI generated, not from a real client.
Hi Wevara, I like the logo and the poster, but between the orange that is on the back and it is used to the logo. I would use something that make a relation (the color) with the animals or with the food of the animals. For example, just look the orange in the back and the colors of the cat and the dog, I would use something more like the brown (clear brown, not darker brown) or even something similar color in the face of the dock (that orange). The information that says “Now Open book a visit at pawtica.net”, I would suggest you to add at the top (give a good information that they are open) and also the information of Why to choose us ? and what we offer and also for pawtica use the same font (not other, also use one font or three different fonts). I would put this information this way :
NOW OPEN book a visit at pawtica :
we are a pet grooming and …
What we offer / Why to choose us
Okay i got it, thank you for the advice
What do you mean by a “poster?” Is it a poster to hang on a wall or a bus stop to catch people’s attention? Or is it a poster for social media? Or is it a poster that will double as a handout? I’m asking because the context of each is different, and each has its opportunities and drawbacks to consider when designing an effective solution to the problem.
- The mirror image on the bottom is fighting with the text.
- The text looks like an afterthought. People don’t read posters, they skim. Strip your message down to 1 or 2 points and make it jump out at people.
- Inaccurate masking around the dogs head, which is why you see white in some places.
- The cat is dreaming of a bowl of food, but is also sitting on a bowl of food.
- If this is to be a printed poster, you’ll need to familiarize yourself with the need for “safe area” and make adjustments.
