Grade my design

Interesting concept, but I’m a bit unsure about the framing.

The “1 in 2” stat feels ambiguous, most UK sources cite around 1 in 3 people developing dementia in their lifetime, while 1 in 2 usually refers to being affected (e.g. knowing or caring for someone). If it’s the latter, that probably needs to be made explicit.

I’m also not convinced the devil vs angel metaphor works here. Dementia is caused by neurological diseases like Alzheimer’s, so moral or good/evil imagery could unintentionally imply choice, blame, or inner conflict rather than illness. That kind of symbolism can reinforce stigma rather than awareness.

It might be worth exploring a metaphor that reflects disease progression or brain health more directly, or grounding the message more clearly.

I like the design too, but you need to do some changes, for example a letter like this : 1 or 2 people in the UK don’t realize (with the other text) and after that the devil and the angel, then audiobook text. Other option is like this :

1 in 2 people in the UK don’t realize

(then the devil and angel image)

Dementia is caused by diseases
like Alzheimer’s, etc…
And then the audiobook and the other text.

These are just my observations.

Well, is it one, or is it two people?

Thanks Eriskay, I just corrected the mispelling.

Is this a real audiobook?

I’m asking because 50% people not realizing that Alzheimer’s is a form of dementia doesn’t sound like viable subject matter for a book.

Using Myriad Regular for a title seems a bit uninspired. It’s as though you picked the most generic typeface on your computer, then just typed it out and left it. Book titles typically warrant more thought and personality.

Nor does the awkwardly worded and separated title read like a book title. It’s an odd sentence that’s split in two with no full stop (period) at the end. It’s just plain strange. In addition, the first letter in the most important words in a title are typically capitalized.

I don’t understand the relevance of the cartoon devil and angel. What is devilish or angelic about half of all people not knowing something about dementia and Alzheimer’s?

To me, the book cover is conceptually misguided, and the cover design makes little sense. I’m very sorry, but my honest opinion is that neither the book nor the cover works at all and needs to be rethought and redone from scratch.

The book title already said it all.

I’d watch “The Magnificent Seven” or “The Italian Job” without any prompting. However I would hesitate with films titled “The Magnificent Seven Rescue A Village” or “The Italian Job With The Escape Coach And The Loots With The Gang Dangling Off A Cliff”.
