Hi, I am finishing my first class @ LAFS. Yes I was asked to join as an assignment. I am new to the whole online forum thing. I am eager to learn as much as I can. When I was in high school years ago, I was able to be part of the Graphic Communications class. I attended the graphic class my junior and senior years. I loved it. My best friend and I were both in the class together and had big dreams to own a graphic design business focusing on the printing press.
As time went on and life happened, our dream faded. She passed 2 years ago and I needed a new path to follow. I came across an ad for LAFS one day when I was scrolling and bored. I had an “AH HA” moment. So I thought in honor of my best friend I’ll go back to school, learn and bring our dream to reality. It feels great to be in school for something that I have an inner passion for. My plan is to have her husband and children co-owners if they wish in honor of their beautiful mother. Now my focus has shifted from printing press to everything graphic design, owning a studio as a freelance designer and having her family as a partner. I am not familiar with forums or how they work. I do know what they are, however this is a first for me and I do plan on using this community as an resource, asset, guide or whatever you call it to join me on my journey, while building a relationship/friendship with you guys.
