The name is shifty-overreach. I’ve studied Graphic Design since I was little, and I was able to get my degree in it in 2022. I haven’t done anything with it yet, because in my area, no one was hiring, and when I tried finding work in other places, I was getting cheated out of the job. Once I remember I went to Texas for said job prospect, and me being the naive one at the time that knew nothing about what was going on, was told to do an assignment to get hired for the job, and when I did, I got ghosted by the company and never heard back from them. This was 3 years ago, and I never heard back from them.
For the degree, I basically went from going to one college to the next, with the first one shutting down the month I was supposed to graduate and get my degree (Independence University, shut down in 2021 → Miami International University of Art and Design, shut down in 2023, got my degree in 2022, have both transcripts on file), but I still managed to get it regardless. After a while of finding out that I was just on default, and I couldn’t keep a job with a decent enough consistent income, to even pay off the debt alone, and so I ended up by 2024 with no job to speak of whatsoever. Since I realized this, I signed for Borrowers Defense for Repayment, and when I did, by January of 2026, I’ve essentially got all of my debt expunged, so I don’t owe anything in debt, I just have to wait for the summer to end since that stuff takes time.
I do have a portfolio, but from experience, I don’t like using any websites like Wix and Squarespace, so mines is offline, and a file that I can send to anyone, if anyone’s willing to ask for it. If asked, I’ll send you the file for it, but I promise on everything, that it’s not going to be anything malicious, I’ve had viruses hit a lot of the older computers I’ve had in the past, I’m cautious about that kind of stuff, I’m not going to lie and send you something I know I shouldn’t be sending.
As of late, since I’ve been hopping from job to job, which I really do not like, if any experienced designer is willing to answer some of my questions that I have on what I should do, I’m more than willing to ask them, as per appropriate response.
