Welcome to the forum. I’m sure you have a lot of valuable lessons to offer being from SF. I look forward to hearing about it.
I turned down an East Bay job opportunity in the 1990s that has me second guessing to this day. On the one hand, the experience would have been valuable. But I’m not so confident that I would have survived the high cost of living in a place where I didn’t know anyone but my employers.

And yes, lots of of incite. But still a lot to learn. S.F. can be hard on the wallet. The East Bay used to be a cheaper alternative, but not so much anymore. It isn’t that bad if your starting out and determined though.
