Hi everyone,
Thank you for having me in your forum!
I’m a knowledge manager for a tech company in Hamburg, Germany, and am responsible for the company’s knowledge hub, which houses information about products and markets in the area of financial business software. Since I have only minimal training in design, I want to improve my fluency in the use of visual elements and design tools.
My work is primarily centered around creating correct hierarchies, groupings and filters, clean representation of legacy and advanced technologies that don’t categorize easily, and attractive presentation of more educationally oriented posts. The main challenge is reducing cognitive overload while making challenging content interesting to an audience of sales reps and consultants. Since text must remain accurate (meaning that it will be difficult for most of my audience), I’m going for visual appeal. Difficult in an environment where an IBM aesthetic reigns! I look forward to learning from you all!
