How's your weather?

Everything is pretty much at a stand still here. It will start getting back to normal tomorrow. My sister who lives 30 minutes north had over 3 feet! Two plows got stuck doing her long driveway and they had to call in a 3rd to rescue them! LOL

Her car as she is digging it out

Honestly you just look around in awe. We haven’t had a Nor’Easter like this in years! … Thanks 2020

Holy cow! That’s a lot of snow for one day. I hope you don’t need to drive anywhere today or tomorrow (or the next day).

Nope … we prepared and are staying put

That’s the best. When you can stay cozy and snug at home and enjoy looking at the snow. Hence the ā€œfrench toast emergencyā€ every time there is a little snow predicted. You know, when everyone runs to the grocery store for eggs, milk, and bread.

This ALWAYS cracks me up

I have not seen that before, but, yeah, that’s about right (just add in eggs).

My strong suspicion is that we could go for a couple of weeks without going to the grocery store living just off of the food that’s already in our house. The fresh fruit, vegetables, bread, and milk would get used up first. Then the frozen food. After that we’d be eating peanut butter, Clif Bars, rice, and buttered noodles for a week, but I think we could do it.

Ticked off Vick cracks me up … but I can only take him in small doses

Sometimes I worry the poor guy is gonna stroke out

Have you seen his rendition of outdoor dining for the pandemic? It’s a good one :stuck_out_tongue:

Because I’m a random individual and meals are kinda randomly cooked based on time and what I want for supper, we keep a pretty heavily stocked pantry. Could easily do 4 weeks before breaking into the emergency ā€œjust add waterā€ stuff.

But I did have a 2-week power outage once without a generator for the first week and the temps were in the 50s. We ended up having a neighborhood BBQ so the melting freezer stuff wouldn’t go to waste. Of course the second week it was sub-zero. But we still didn’t come near running out of food.

I haven’t seen any other videos by that guy. While that one makes me laugh, I could see where it could be annoying in large doses.

I remember when your power went out … that was awful :frowning:

As for Vick he has two … they are both pretty funny

He is so on point about many things … I just wish it was not so vein popping intense lmao :stuck_out_tongue:

The wildfires are finally out here in the Los Angeles area. Temps will hit 80 this weekend. Good weather, but that means everyone will be out running around and spreading the virus. 10 million people in the greater LA area, and all the hospital intensive care units are at 100% capacity. Not enough doctors and nurses.

Haha, this is spot on! Here in the UK, it just seems to rain everyday or be very dull. I tried to film some cool cinematic shots for the ZETO website, however they ended up looking so dull and rainy due to the weather, yet the day before was so lovely and sunny!

Mojo, I thought most of CA was under full indoor lockdown. I know San Diego is anyway.

Some types of businesses are totally closed, but most are told to operate at 20% capacity. So the parking lots are filled and there are lines to get into most stores.

Yeah, that line thing. That’s when I discovered curbside pickup. I still use it even though most stores here can have 40% capacity. I did see a line at Walmart yesterday. It was 10°F out there and I’m thinking ā€œWhy? You’ve known for a whole year Christmas is coming!ā€

So y’all remember when I posted about the 3 feet of snow that dropped on this area last week? It’s also been hovering in the high 20’s.

Thursday night it started to rain and the temp began to rise. By Christmas morning it was 57° when I woke up and this is what it looked like outside. The first pic is Wednesday afternoon. I posted this on FB yesterday because not much shocks me anymore … but the fact that we dropped at least 2 feet of snow over night and were 30 degrees higher while FL and NC were in the low 30’s … yep … that shocked me.

The only downside is a few basements suffered. I’m sure sump pumps all over the county were running on overtime

… and it’s properly back down to 24° today

Someone of course had to comment yesterday ā€œdon’t worry the cold is coming backā€ I so wanted to say ā€œReally?, I thought this meant Winter was overā€

But, it was Christmas so I kept my sarcastic yap shut :stuck_out_tongue:

Wow! With that kind of fast melt-off, I’d think the streets and sewers would be flooded.

Here’s a snow clearing tip for you: use a flame thrower.
