Hey everyone, haven’t introduced myself yet, so here goes…
My name is Esther Miller from Passaic, New Jersey. My original career path was in early childhood education, but I decided to pivot and study graphic design. I’m in the beginning of my design career still looking for my first design job since graduating in 2022. Being neurodiverse makes finding a job a whole lot more difficult because the process is soooooo overwhelming. Meanwhile, I keep myself busy with passion projects, doing tons of design inspiration and upskilling, and interacting in design communities (like GDF!).
Although imposter syndrome is real for me, something that has boosted my confidence this past year is winning two design awards - a silver award from Indigo Award for a student project and an American Graphic Design Award from GDUSA for my most recent passion project.
