Hi There
Is it the place where can I show my portfolio to you people ? and can I provide some links for my online portfolio ?
This is the place.
But wear your heavy sweater.
Ok thanks for answer, but np I am wearing my jacket which is built with an armor ! LOL. Thanks so much and this is really appreciated !.
Here are the links :

Thanks so much Red Kittie, just added that way because before I sent them. But the forum says NO LINKS ALLOWED ! Lol
Are you based in Ireland?
Do you have permission to use sport personality images? They are usually heavily protected.
You have Design spelled incorrectly on one of the pieces itās spelled āDESINGā.
Itās quite a mixed bag - very little direction on the portfolio, like it was cobbled together without any thought or direction.
Based on what I"ve seen Iād take out the really bad stuff, the really really bad things, like Merry Christmas Ireland and Tea Room menus.
Leave higher end items in your online portfolio - and categorise them and have a lot more flow to the layout.
Itās too higgledy-piggledy for me and would put me as a potential employer Iād look for cleaner more driven portfolios.
Thanks so Much Smurf2 !, That;s what I want to make a clear portfolio. I will take a consideration what you say. My make direction is working with pictures or photos, may be I am going to add some brutalism. About the sport images, they are from pixabay. And yes I am located in Ireland.
Iām in Ireland too! Not often meet another on here!
Lol How small is this world (Where are you located ?)(if you donāt want to say thatās fine). I live in Galway.
Iām in Meath!
Only about 2 hours away - without traffic of course.
I forgot to tell you that the image sports are from Pixabay (You can use them depending on the license and how you use them) and I never would use another person image without permission or reading their license. Btw thanks so much for your help ! and I am going to work Portfolio this week, make it more tidy and organized. Anyway I am going to add some Brutalism during this week Your Help is really appreciated !
Hi There
I began to organize and make a better look of my portfolio. And you are right, everything was āhiggledy-piggledyā and I am making it more tidy. If you can, please can you take a look when i finish ?.
Regards
Manuel
Hi Smurf2

Hi There
I made some adjustments to my Online Portfolio, can someone take a look about ? and thanks !.
The link of the website is in he first or the second post.
And thanks so much for help (any feedback good or bad, will be very welcome !).
Hello there,
Iāve glanced at your portfolio and it seems you have a great passion for making design layouts. What I think your portfolio is lacking is cohesiveness. You have illustrations, vet posters, coffee flyers, sports layouts all over the portfolio.
I think the illustrations are cool and the vet post is one of the stronger works. I think you can take these concepts a bit further, Iām assuming they are your own work and not client work for my feedback.
You could develop an entire brand suite around the āBestToCareā vet.
While I was looking at your pieces, I noticed a lot of them have a similar hierarchy. Best To Care pet poster is similar to the animal layouts and the food posters.
In my eyes, these look very close to what Iād expect student work to resembleāand thatās alright. I think you can take some of your passion projects and build out a suite: posters, letterheads, social graphics, business cards, booklets and so on.
If your passion is making sports based graphics, I would research other teams and see what they are putting out. I donāt want to say copy exactly what they are doing but sometimes tracing over things can help you mentally understand how things relate. There are tons of teams online that post graphics to linkedin and facebook. Its very easy to find inspiration and you could get in some practice. \
Hello There
Thanks so much for your help !, just one more question (which is very important for me). Do you think that I need to make any change on the portfolio to make it attractive for companies ? (my intention is to make this portfolio impressive while I am looking for a job as a junior graphic designer).
Sorry havenāt had a chance to look again but good advice so far.
Hi There
Donāt worry Smurf2, Billyjeanplxivv has given a good advice!. Take your time with other new comers !. He did give me a good answer too !
Thanks anyway !
Per your request, here are my thoughts.
You really have too many pieces there for me to give a thorough critique on each one ā that would take too much time. So I am going to give you my overall impression. Looking at your portfolio, I see the experimental work of someone starting out in the design field and who is learning the software. I also see someone who needs more experience before they are ready to thrive in the field.
My suggestions would be as follows:
Eliminate at least half of the pieces in your portfolio. Get it down to 10-12 of your best pieces. Once you have that narrowed down, go over the pieces to refine them then go over them again, then go over them again. You are only as strong as your weakest piece, so you want anything youāre showing to be the best you can do.
You need to concentrate on learning type and learning how to set type. If you want, I can give you specific examples of what I see that prompts this suggestion.
The other thing you need to concentrate on is crafting a message, learning to effectively communicate, and creating work that will resonate with the target market. Your work samples look like experiments to learn the software, but I am afraid they fall flat when it comes to communicating. One example is the primate zoo billboard. People drive past billboards and 50, 60, 70 mph or more. Is someone going to be able to read and digest all of that small copy when driving past at speed?
The last thing Iād say is that you need to pay attention to the details. For example, the Yellowās Flakes ad. On one line you have the exclamation point right after deal, and on the other line you have a space between meal and the explanation mark. This tells me that you didnāt proofread, you were working too fast or you just donāt care. Either way, this would get your resume passed over. Details matter. This is just one example, but I saw quite a instances of issues like this.
Hope that helps.
Hi Steve and Thanks so your Help!.
I want to make a impressive Portfolio as a Graphic Designer. And yes I can reduce the pieces and only add the best pieces. I will do it tomorrow (to reduce the pieces just to 10 or 12) and then work of them to make the best portfolio, later I will add other to make them better (not all of them offcourse).
Thanks so much and I will advice when the portfolio is ready with 12 pieces.
Iām hesitant to mention this, but itās important. Unfortunately, itās something you canāt easily fix.
Youāre bio says you live in Ireland, but youāre struggling with written English. Am I correct in assuming English isnāt your native language?
As I looked through your work, I noticed various spelling, grammatical, punctuation, and usage errors throughout, in addition to awkward phrasing.
If you were working with a copy editor who could fix the errors, your lack of fluent English skills might be manageable. However, if youāre hoping to freelance, this will be a major problem since the errors are numerous and immediately noticeable.
Youāve used AI to create images. Have you tried using it to improve your writing?
