There are some hurdles I some times face through the design work, but mostly I feel free through the process. Now back to the reason I opened a post. Like or not like it, there is common ground on that request, but feel free to be technical. The name of the firm is confidential. The looks on the other hand is what I imagine as final. The client requires I fresh start over from a stagnated id acquired in the past.
At the moment, all we can really critique is the visual execution, and on that basis I don’t think the logo is working particularly well.
But a logo isn’t just an aesthetic exercise. Without knowing the brief, the intended audience, the positioning of the business, what problems existed with the previous identity, what the client wanted to change, and what constraints or considerations influenced the design, it’s impossible to give a meaningful critique of whether this is actually an appropriate solution.
You do need to give us the objective. What problem was this identity supposed to solve?
Otherwise we’re effectively being asked, “Do you like this picture?” and aesthetically, my answer would simply be no.
Don’t expect an answer.
Me neither, I would say that this logotype look more as a Christmas advertisement that something about Energy. I am still thinking there is an AI or a Kid behind that Lego avatar.
